Sumter Sheriff’s Office offering active shooter training for church administration  

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is hosting two active shooter/threat response training sessions for local churches in Sumter County.
The classes are open to pastors, deacons and elders. They will be held May 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. The first class will take place at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, 7361 Powell Rd. in Wildwood, with the second being held at the sheriff’s office in Bushnell, located at 250 E McCollum Ave.
