Sumter County Sheriff’s Office seeking information about woman found dead with ‘signs of violence’

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is actively conducting a homicide investigation in the area of CR 711 north of SR 50 in Webster. The cause of death is pending however signs of violence were found.

Sumter County Detectives are attempting to identify the victim who is described as a white female, between 40 and 60 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches and approximately 180 pounds. She may have been a smoker. She is described as having long auburn hair beyond her shoulders with some grey and curling. The victim has light brown eyes, no teeth and no visible scars or tattoos. She was wearing a one piece form fitting black uni-tard with shoulder straps, lace top and full length leggings.
