Sumter County Sheriff’s Office identifies Massachusetts native found dead near Webster

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office has identified a woman found dead near Webster.

Fannie Rose Houck, 63, originally from Massachusetts, but more recently a resident of the Bay Area of Florida, was found dead Monday in the area of County Road 711 just north of State Road 50 in Webster.

Detectives are seeking more information on what they believe is a homicide.
