Jermaine Loynes

A Summerfield couple has been tracked down in the theft this past December of two shopping carts full of groceries.

Jeanne Lynn Braddy, 34, and Jermaine Loynes, 35, were arrested Tuesday by Marion County sheriff’s deputies.

The couple on New Year’s Eve had entered the Dollar General on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Summerfield. They were accompanied by Braddy’s three children.

Surveillance showed that Braddy distracted a clerk while Loynes and the children pushed the shopping carts loaded with merchandise out of the store, according to an arrest report from the sheriff’s office. Items taken included makekup, detergent and food. The total value of the items was $657.75.

Braddy and Loynes were booked at the Marion County Jail. Braddy is being held without bond as she is already on felony probation in a Sumter County case. Her probation runs through 2020.
