Summerfield neurologist arrested after cell phone video shows attack

A neurologist with an office in Summerfield was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident at his home.

Dr. Alfredo Luis Jacome, 51, is facing a charge of battery following his arrest Tuesday by Ocala police.

The victim showed police a cell phone video that showed Jacome screaming and yelling at her. In the video, Jacome became enraged over the recording, knocked the cell phone from her hand, and grabbed her by the throat and choked her. The woman had bruises on her neck, according to the arrest report.

He was booked at the Marion County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
