Summerfield man arrested with weed, bong after traffic stop for inoperable headlight

A 56-year-old Summerfield man was arrested on marijuana charges after a traffic stop for an inoperable headlight.

Paul Manning Roberts had been driving a Toyota pickup truck Tuesday night on U.S. 301 and Huey Street in Wildwood when he was pulled over.

When the officer approached the truck, the odor of marijuana was detected, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Roberts admitted he had about four grams of marijuana in the center console of the truck. Also in the center console were a glass water bong-style marijuana pipe and a metal grinder.

Roberts was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
