Speeding driver arrested on DUI charge tells Florida Highway Patrol she was being followed

A speeding driver arrested on a drunk driving charge told the Florida Highway Patrol she believed she was being followed.

Lynda McGill Spence, 62, of Ocala, had been clocked at 80 miles per hour on U.S. 301 when she was pulled over, according to an arrest report. She had also been driving erratically.

She claimed she was being followed.

It appeared she had been drinking.

Spence admitted she had been drinking wine at dinner.

She failed field sobriety exercises. She also failed to meet volume to provide an adequate breath sample.

She as booked at the Marion County Jail where bond was set at $1,000.
