Sinkhole drains pond at Pimlico

A sinkhole has drained a pond at Hole #4 at the Pimlico Executive Golf Course.

A crew was at the site today and had used heavy equipment to build a small dam to keep the entire pond from draining.

Another pond at the Pimlico course near this one was plagued with sinkholes last year.

A sinkhole drained that pond in February 2016. Then another sinkhole in May 2016 drained the pond again and necessitated another round of repairs costing thousands of dollars.

Last year, CDD 5 Chairman Walter Martin noted the liner at that pond has broken several times since 2005.
