Signs regarding guest parking will be going up in the Belmont Villas

Signs regarding guest parking will be going up in the Belmont Villas.

The Community Development District 5 Board of Supervisors on Friday morning voted to put up three signs in the villa community within the Village of Belvedere.

The signs will advise motorists that the parking spots are intended for residents’ guests, and not necessarily for residents.

CDD 5 Chairman Walter Martin warned that if residents of other villa units hear about the parking signs, CDD 5 supervisors may get requests from other villa communities.

“Be prepared,” he said.

However, the language in the plats may not grant supervisors the authority to put up signs in some of those villas, Martin noted.
