A sheriff’s detective needs your help to identity a suspect in the theft of merchandise at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

The man entered the store at about 3:45 p.m. Dec. 13 and removed a Mag-Lite flashlight valued at $33.63 from its packaging and concealed it in his clothing, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office The suspect then carried it out of the store, passing all points of sale, without purchasing the merchandise.
