Russell Bjella

Russell H. Bjella, 84, died on Friday, August 10, 2018 in Lady Lake, Florida. He was born in Bemidji, Minnesota to Timan and Constance (Aakre) Bjella and was the youngest of five children.

Russ met his wife, the late Christine (Marpert) Bjella, while serving in the United States Army in post-WWII Germany. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he went on to have a highly successful sales career with Jostens, Inc. Russ will be remembered by his family for his loving protection and care, his generosity, and his zest for life. He delighted everyone around him with his lively personality and outgoing nature, as well as his dry sense of humor and his lifelong passion for singing, theater, college football, and tennis.

Survived by children Craig (Sharon), Tim (Robyn), and Connie; grandchildren Russell, Sam, and Beck.

Memorial Service to be held in Minnesota (date to be determined). Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
