Ronald H. Resch, 82, of The Villages (formerly of Westminster and Glen Arm, Md.) departed on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. Ronald retired from State Farm Insurance after more than 35 years of service. He became a Master Mason at the Mt. Moriah Lodge #116 in Towson in 1964 and earned his 50 Year Pin in 2014. Ron also became a member of the Baltimore Boumi Temple Shriners in 1971, and was active in the Ambassadors Club, Towson Shrine Club, Antique Car Club and the Boumi Temple Yacht Club where he served as the Commodore in 1982.

Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan C. (nee Waxter); loving father of David and his wife, Gina of Westminster, Md.; Brian and his wife, Genny of Finksburg, Md.; and Larry and his wife, Cheryl of Highland, Md. Adored “Grandpop” to Samantha, Megan, Matthew, Chrissy and Valerie Resch. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen (nee Herman) Wirth and step-father Milton Wirth, and his brothers Raymond and Milton Resch.
A Funeral and Masonic Service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages FL. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-4:00PM on Thursday Jan. 4th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Shriners Hospital (C/O Boumi Temple, 5050 King Ave, Baltimore, MD 21237), or Hope Lutheran Church (250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL 32162).
