Lampu Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

Lampu Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi on U.S. Hwy. 441 was temporarily closed April 4.

A pesticide-emitting unit was found in the food preparation area, 12 live roaches were discovered under a dish machine, raw animal foods were not properly separated, and employees were washing their hands at an unapproved handwashing station, according to an inspection on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The station at which employees should have been washing their hands had no paper towels or mechanical hand-drying device. There was also an accumulation of black/green mold in the ice machine.

The restaurant was permitted to re-open after passing inspection.
