Resident of The Quarters Apartments arrested after failure to pay child support

A man who lives in The Quarters Apartments on Teague Trail in Lady Lake was arrested Saturday afternoon and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Eric Cornelius Knight, 43, was pulled over by a Lady Lake Police officer in the area of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Fennell Blvd., where it was confirmed that his license was suspended on March 26 for failure to pay child support, a report states. Knight previously was convicted of driving on a suspended license on Jan. 5, 1995 and Sept. 29, 1993.

Knight was transported to the Lake County Jail, where he was released about three hours later after paying a $2,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on June 4.
