Propane tank reportedly stolen from Dollar General store in Summerfield

A propane tank was reportedly stolen from the Dollar General store on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Summerfield.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded Thursday to the store at 15090 S. Hwy. 441, according to an incident report.

Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the store’s manager, who said that the Amerigas Propane case, which is located outside the store, was broken into. The manager advised that to her knowledge only one propane tank, with an estimated value of $30, was stolen from the case. She also stated that incident could have occurred between Monday at 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. on Thursday.

The deputy then made contact with an employee of Amerigas Propane, who said she was aware of the incident. She estimated damage to be $580.
