A prominent attorney in The Villages will lose his driver’s license in the wake of a drunk driving arrest.
Eric Millhorn, 45, of Oxford, was found at 2:12 a.m. Aug. 9 asleep in his black utility vehicle at the intersection of County Road 462 and County Road 209 in Wildwood, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. During field sobriety exercises, the founder of the Millhorn Law Firm was “stumbling heavily and swaying” and “almost fell over.” A breathalyzer test showed readings of .209 and .198 blood alcohol content.
Last week in Sumter County, Millhorn entered a plea of no contest in the case. He is facing a mandatory six-month revocation of his driver’s license, has been placed on probation for 12 months and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
Millhorn was represented by attorney Bruce Carney.
