Penny Kozinski

Penny Kozinski, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School.

Penny was a business analyst for Northwestern National Insurance, Milwaukee, WI. She retired after 38 years of service.

Penny and her husband Jim moved to The Villages from Milwaukee in 2006. She enjoyed dancing and socializing with her friends at various clubs and activities. Penny was an active volunteer for Operation Shoe Box for the past 11 years. She was a member of The Villages SOSB Club, the Celtic Club, Irish American Club, Baby Boomers Club, Second Honeymooners Club, Wisconsin Club, Polish American Club, Oswego Neighbors Club, Polka Lovers Club and the Straight Shooters Club. She was also a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church for over 10 years.
Penny loved to travel, host parties and make everyone laugh. She was an avid cruiser with 36 cruise adventures. Penny was a Diamond Plus Club member of Royal Caribbean, her favorite cruise company. This past year she made a very special journey to the Marion Shrines in Lourdes and Fatima.

Penny and her husband Jim were high school sweethearts. They both took great pride in their marriage of 50 years and considered one another their soulmate, best friend and love of their life.

Penny is survived by her beloved husband Jim; a sister, Carol Taylor (George), Tavares, FL; her (adopted sister), sister-in-law, Gail Schwandt (Brian) of Jacksonville, FL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Mark the Evangelist Church, Summerfield at 10 a.m. Reception following Mass at St. Mark the Evangelist to be held at Alamanda Recreation Center 1515 St. Charles Place, The Villages, FL 32162. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Penny’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association (www. heart.org).
