Pennsylvania man in golf cart on County Road 466 arrested on drunk driving charge

Jacob Dominic Giaccio

A Pennsylvania man who had been traveling in a golf cart on County Road 466 was arrested on a drunk driving charge.

Jacob Dominic Giaccio, 62, of Secane, Pa. had been driving the golf cart at about 11 p.m. Friday on County Road 466 at Glen Hollow Way, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. It appeared he had been drinking.

He failed field sobriety exercises. It was determined that Giaccio had been arrested and convicted in 2007 on a DUI charge in Nether Providence Township in Pennsylvania.

During a trip to the Sumter County Detention Center, Giaccio became “aggressive and derogatory” toward the deputy, swearing at him and calling him a “spick.”

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $2,000.
