Paula Stegall

Paula Stegall, 69, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 in Jacksonville. Paula was born in Birmingham, AL to Wesley Duncan and Katherine Merle (Chapman) McRae.

She was a legal secretary for Ed Clement, Esquire and hospice volunteer coordinator for Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares. She was a member of The First Baptist Church, Umatilla. She was active in precept bible studies and went on mission trips. She was the best homemaker, wonderful grandmother, very giving and placed her family over herself. She was Miss Lake-Sumter Community College 1968, Groveland High School Homecoming Queen in 1967 and captain of the cheerleading squad at Groveland High School. She was a huge encourager for people and was kind and gentle.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; daughter, Holly S. (Judd) Dickerson of Lady Lake; two brothers, Duncan (Barb) McRae of Sanford, FL and Tim (Cindi) McRae of Leesburg, FL and two grandsons, Gavin and Landon.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg. The family will also receive friends Monday, February 26, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Umatilla with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brooks Braswell and Rev. Sidney Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778.
