Pastor Robert A. Walters

Pastor Robert A. Walters, 86, of The Villages, FL, passed away quietly on August 8, 2018 in the comfort of his home and assured he was safely in God’s presence.

Bob served in the U.S. Army, was a disabled veteran from the Korean War and retired from United Airlines. He was a retired Commissioned Lay Pastor, hospital Chaplain and an ordained PCUSA Elder and Trustee.

He was pastor at Center Hill Presbyterian Church and member of North Lake Presbyterian, Hope Lutheran and Fairway Christian Churches. Hobbies included Ham Operator and the Clown Ministry. His gift to all was his gentleness, faith and open heart.

Survived by his wife of 21 years, Betty Lord Walters. Bob has sons Steve and Robert Walters, daughter Susan Pope, three grandchildren and a great grandson. He is beloved by Betty’s son James Lord and his sons John and Andrew, daughter Karen M. Little and three grandchildren, Dr. Gregory Little, Lauren and Anna Leigh.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on August 23, 2018 at the El Santiago Recreation Center from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Interment with military honors at 11:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery. Pastor Mark Fessler will officiate.
