Participants can register online for Alzheimer’s Family Support Walk

The sixth annual Alzheimer’s Family Support Walk is coming up Saturday, Feb.24, and it is easy to enter, online or at the event.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Villages Polo Fields. Opening ceremonies begin at 9 a.m.

Walkers can register in advance on line at www.alzheimersfamily.org, or the morning of the event.  Children five and under are free, Juniors age six through 12 can enter for $10, and the entry fee for adults in $20.

Planned as a low-impact fun walk, this popular event has become the largest annual fund-raiser for the non-profit Alzheimer’s Family Organization, which serves caregivers for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in eight west-central Florida counties, including Marion, Lake, and Sumter counties.
