A Papa John’s employee reported a license plate was stolen from her vehicle while she was at work.

The 55-year-old woman, who lives at The Quarters Apartments, had her vehicle parked April 18 at Papa John’s at Lady Lake Crossing. A fellow employee told her the license plate was missing, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The owner of the vehicle told police she had recently replaced the tag.

License plate thefts have been reported earlier this year:

A Villager’s license plate was stolen and then later connected to a criminal case in Alachua County.

A license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at Citizens First Bank at Spanish Springs and later used by criminals.

• A license plate was stolen from a van parked at a church in Belleview.
