Outstanding experience at The Villages Regional Hospital

To the Editor:

In light of numerous letters regarding bad service and care at TVRH, I feel compelled to share our outstanding experience there, on a holiday weekend.
My companion, Dan, had stomach pain that became unbearable, so we headed to the Emergency Room.
He was seen in 10 minutes and taken to a room inside the Emergency Room.
The next 12 hours, in The ER, his care was exemplary and then he was admitted to a regular room.  After various tests, it was determined the gall bladder was bad. Sunday and Monday, New Year’s weekend, all surgery was on hold except for dire emergencies, but the floor care by staff was top notch. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, procedures were done efficiently and he was released Thursday, a very happy camper. We were both extremely pleased with six days of perfect care and compassion shown at TVRH.
