Ocala woman escapes serious injury in crash that shut down portion of U.S. Hwy. 441 for three hours

A 24-year-old Ocala woman escaped serious injury in a crash that shut down a portion of U.S. Hwy. 441 in Alachua County for three hours Wednesday night.

Brianna D. Ow had been southbound in a 2009 Saturn Outlook on U.S. Hwy. 441 at SE County Road 234 at 10:19 p.m. when a truck pulling a trailer loaded with three cars drove into her path, according to an accident from the Florida Highway Patrol. The truck was driven by 23-year-old Cortez Glover of Jacksonville.

Two of the three cars came out of the trailer which remained blocking traffic on the roadway after the crash.

All lanes were reopened at approximately 1:20 a.m.

Ow was transported to UF Health at Shands.

Glover was ticketed for failure to yield right-of-way.
