An Ocala woman was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence on Monday at U.S. Hwy. 441.

Jessica Kelley

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7700 block of North U.S. Hwy. 441 in reference to a vehicle driving erratically, according to an arrest report. Upon arrival, deputies observed the reported vehicle stopped in a turning lane just north of the intersection located at NE 77 St. and North U.S. Hwy. 441, the report stated. Deputies approached the vehicle and made contact with 28-year-old Jessica Renea Kelley whose eyes were watery and bloodshot. After asking Kelley for her license and vehicle registration several times, Kelley could not provide either document and was asked to step out of the vehicle. Kelley appeared to have difficulty keeping her balance but denied that she had been drinikng.

Kelley failed field sobriety exercises and an inventory search of the vehicle revealed an empty flask between the driver’s seat and middle console.

Kelley was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail. She provided breath samples that registered .203 and .191 blood alcohol content. Bond was set at $1,000.
