Ocala woman arrested after allegedly threatening man with large kitchen knife

Wendy Sue Steier

An Ocala woman was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly threatening a man with large kitchen knife.

Wendy Sue Steier, 43, is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery after she was taken into custody at 3:28 a.m. Monday by Marion County sheriff’s deputies.

A man called 911 after Steier “started flying off the handle” and began to strike him on the head and face. She then retrieved a large knife from the kitchen. The man believed he was going to be stabbed, according to the arrest report.

He said Steier had been drinking.

Steier was booked at the Marion County Jail where she was initially held without bond.
