Ocala woman arrested after deputy finds bag of pills inside car

Lindsay Nicole Davies

An Ocala woman was arrested outside Florida Integrated Health Services in Summerfield on Thursday when a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a bag of pills in a car she was walking away from.

After an altercation with another woman, the deputy watched Lindsay Nicole Davies, 26, pick up several items from the passenger side of a 4-door white Mitsubishi and put them in her purse. The deputy also spotted a clear baggie on the passenger-side floorboard that contained 30 orange and yellow pills with the imprint of “5” on them, a sheriff’s office report states.

Davies said she had been sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle, but denied the drugs were hers, the report states. The deputy identified the pills as what appeared to be Diazepam, the generic form of Valium.

Davies was transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She was held on a $2,000 bond.
