A 20-year-old Ocala motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck towing a horse trailer Sunday morning on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Ocala.
Danny Junior Nieves Rodriguez was pronounced dead at 10:33 a.m. at the scene of the accident, according to the Ocala Police Department.
He had been riding a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 which had been traveling northbound. He collided with a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 pulling a 21-foot horse trailer, which had been making a left turn across U.S. Hwy. 441 to travel eastbound. The truck was driven by Jamie Lynn Cartwright of Lake City.
The crash remains under investigation.
Ocala Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
