A man with a driver’s license suspended after a drunk driving conviction was arrested Saturday night after going on a cigarette run.
Walter Jacob Alexander Childress, 25, of Ocala, ran a stop sign at about 8:30 p.m., according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He also admitted his driver’s license had been suspended after a DUI conviction. The deputy confirmed that Childress’ driver’s license had been suspended on March 29.
Childress claimed he had been issued a “business purposes only” license, but it had not been received from the Department of Motor Vehicles,
He was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended and booked at the Marion Count Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
