Now I have seen it all

To the Editor:

As long as people are having the great lawn ornament debacle, I thought I’d throw in a discovery my husband and I witnessed while out for a ride in our golf cart just this morning. I didn’t think to take a photo at the time but the description of it is easy to imagine.
We were putting through Sandhill Villas in Duval and rounding a corner we spotted something bright red under a tree. We got closer and saw it was a two and a half foot tall Buddha statue wearing a red cloth bathrobe of some sort.
Now, if people are having hissy fits over some Sandhill cranse statues in people’s yards, how about feasting your eyes on that ridiculousness?
Someone else in there has some pink flamingos out front, too.
Personally, I’d be okay with some fake cranes in my neighbor’s yard as opposed to the other two tacky choices, but what do I know?
