The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced that new Medicare cards are being sent out to every Medicare enrollee starting in April. The process will take roughly a year and the new cards will be mailed directly to you.
If you’re on Medicare you do not have to apply, call, or pay for anything regarding the new cards. No one representing Medicare will ever call you and ask to give personal or private information to receive your new card. Please be alert to these scammers looking to compromise your information. If someone calls and asks you for your personal or private information, demands that you pay anything, or threatens to cancel your Medicare benefits, please hang up and immediately contact Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
Help with green card
A constituent from Ocala contacted my office for an update after waiting several months for her sister’s green card application to be approved. My office sent an inquiry to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and learned that the agency was requesting additional information to reconsider the application. After the requested documents were submitted and several months of processing, my office was happy to hear that the application was approved.
Constituent services is a critical element of our congressional office. The federal government is a massive operation, and my office is available if you ever need assistance in navigating the bureaucracy or cutting through red tape. We are here to serve you.
