New Culver’s restaurant at Southern Trace announces target date for opening

A target date for the opening of the new Culver’s restaurant at Southern Trace Plaza has been announced.

Shad Finley, who will be owning and operating the restaurant, said he is shooting for an opening date in April “at the latest.”

Culver’s is coming to Southern Trace Plaza.
Shad Finley will be owner-operator of the new Culver’s in The Villages.

Meanwhile, managers for the restaurant will be starting training soon at another Culver’s location in South Florida.

Finley, well known from his days at The Villages Insurance, went through Culver’s training last year in Wisconsin.

Midwesterners already are familiar with the popular family-friendly chain.

In 1984, Craig Culver and his family opened the first Culver’s restaurant in Sauk City, Wis., serving their signature ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard to friends and neighbors with genuine, from-the-heart hospitality. Their sole financial goal was to support their growing family.

The former Glitz building is being transformed to a new Culver’s restaurant.

Since then, along with owner-operators who share the same uncompromising standards they’ve held from day one, Culver’s has grown to more than 625 restaurants in 24 states.
