Misguided motorist spotted going wrong way in roundabout in The Villages

A misguided motorist wound up driving in the wrong direction Saturday afternoon in a roundabout in The Villages.

The white mini-van stopped traffic and turned heads shortly after 3 p.m. at the roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Bailey Trail. The near collision was captured on a dash cam by a regular Villages-News.com contributor.     

A white van was spotted going the wrong way in the roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Bailey Trail.

We’ve already had a few crashes in roundabouts this year:

• In January, a motorist was ticketed after a crash in a roundabout near Savannah Center.

• On the day the New England Patriots clinched the AFC title, one of their fans fled the scene of a crash in the roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Old Mill Run.

• A Villager on a bicycle was hospitalized after he was hit by a pest control company vehicle in February in a roundabout on Buena Vista Boulevard.

• Earlier this month, a Villager was arrested when his Lincoln Town Car landed in the center of a roundabout at Buena Vista Boulevard and Palmer Way. 

Golf course deserves a failing grade
