Minnesota man dies after killing his wife, daughter at Ocala National Forest

A man who is believed to have killed his wife and daughter in the Ocala National Forest has died of injuries suffered when he shot himself.

Kevin Benjamin Olesen Farias, 27, of Minnesota shot his wife 32-year-old Jessica Johnson of Wisconsin and their daughter, one-year-old Gabriela Farias.

Marion County sheriff’ deputies responded to the area of Forest Road 88, approximately two miles north of East State Road 40 after receiving a call from a passerby who discovered the scene at 10:52 a.m. Saturday. Farias was still alive when he was found and was transported to a local hospital where he died.
