Megan Boone, The Villages favorite starlet who shot to fame with her hit NBC TV Series, Blacklist, recounted a special trip to New York City on Monday night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Myers.
Boone, who will celebrate her 35th birthday later this year, credited the trip to see Broadway megastar Nathan Lane as the reason behind her desire to act.
“[Nathan Lane] was also the first actor I ever saw perform. I was seven years old, and my grandparents brought me and my cousins up to New York City,” said Boone of the experience.
Lane, a Broadway megastar, will make a special appearance on the 100th episode of Boone’s Blacklist. Boone credits Lane’s performance as being the reason she became an actor.
“I was hooked. I was just, astonished. And that’s why I became an actor,” says Boone of her first encounter with the world of theater.
She joked that Lane’s appearance on her hit TV series was indicative of her grandparents’ intervention from the “afterlife.”
