Medical Examiner’s office on scene after neighbors hear shots fired in Village of Poinciana

Crime scene technicians from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office were on scene Sunday afternoon after neighbors reportedly heard shots fired in the Village of Poinciana.

Neighbors said they heard shots fired at a home on Southfield Drive.

The Medical Examiner’s office was inside the home for several hours.

It appeared to have been a suicide.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and Medical Examiner’s office were on the scene Sunday.
