Maurice “Mo” Paquette Sr., 87, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Born in Lincoln, NH he moved to Florida in 1975.
He graduated from Laconia High School in 1949. He was co-owner of Paquette Paving until his retirement in 1993. During his retirement he enjoyed watching college football, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, June of Leesburg, FL; children, Steve (Karen) of The Villages, FL, Wayne (Robin) of Inverness, FL, Karen Brissey of Leesburg, FL, Susan (Allen) Dearwester of Fruitland Park, FL, Bruce (Thresa) of Leesburg, FL, Mo Jr. of Lady Lake, FL, Mike of Nashville, TN and Lisa (Lance) Lumbard of Ocoee, FL; sisters Lucille Shelton of Concord, NH and Elaine (Anthony) Viola of New York, NY. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Marc, his parents Leo and Ida and brothers Armand and Robert.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Beyer’s Funeral Home, Leesburg on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 5 – 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg.
