Mark Locklear Sr.

Mark Locklear Sr., 85, of Wildwood, FL, passed from this life Thursday, May 10, 2018. Born in Homosassa, FL, he was the son of the late Hiram and Maude (Miley) Locklear.

Mark served his country as an Army veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service he worked for the railroad as a conductor for 40 years beginning with Seaboard Coastline and retiring from CSX.

Mark was a resident of Wildwood for many years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood. He enjoyed Christian music and hymns, gardening, fishing and hunting. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Mark was also a member of the American Legion Post 18 of Wildwood.

He leaves his beloved wife, Margie (Gleaton) Locklear; his children, Hiram J. Locklear and wife Jackie; Pam Keillor and her husband Jim; Mark Locklear, Jr. and his wife, Marla; sisters, Merle Bloomfield and Curley Holgate and 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by Services at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wildwood, 402 Oxford St. Wildwood. Committal services with military honors will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wildwood.
