Marion County sheriff’s deputy escapes injury when patrol car hit by semi

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy escaped injury when his patrol car was hit by a semi early Wednesday morning on U.S. Hwy. 441 just south of Ocala.

The front end of the 2018 Ford Explorer driven by Christian Guerra, 25, of Ocala, was struck at 1:15 a.m. by the semi, driven by 57-year-old Reynaldo Bello of Asheboro, N.C., according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The truck had been turning into the driveway of a private business when the collision occurred.

Bello suffered minor injuries and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
