Man free on $10,000 bond after beer bottle brawl at Spanish Springs watering hole

Clayton Henry Lautzenhiser

A man is free on $10,000 bond after a beer bottle brawl at a Spanish Springs Town Square watering hole.

Lady Lake police were called at about 11 p.m. Tuesday to McCall’s Tavern after 53-year-old Clayton Henry Lautzenhiser of Umatilla allegedly hit another man in the face with a beer bottle. The two men then began fighting.

Lautzenhiser was reportedly restrained by other bar patrons until police officers arrived on the scene.

EMS transported the man who had been struck with the beer bottle to a local hospital.

Lautzenhiser was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $10,000 bond.

Last year, an employee of McCall’s Tavern died after an altercation in Spanish Springs Town Square. The defendants in that case remain free on bond.
