Alexander Harvey, 47, was arrested at the Shamrock Motel after an investigation conducted by Ocala Police Department.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy advised that he observed a female running toward his patrol vehicle on Thursday from the direction of the Shamrock Motel, wearing only black leggings and one boot. The woman was covering herself with blue tarp, crying and seemed disoriented. She advised the deputy that she had been raped in the bed of a truck by a man named Alexander, whom she met at a nearby billiards hall. The victim had abrasions on her body and said Alexander grabbed her by the throat and threatened her life.

While at the Shamrock Motel, law enforcement officials came into contact with Harvey and asked what happened with the woman. Harvey advised that he met her at Downtown Billiards, they left together and he took her home. When asked what transpired in the vehicle, Harvey stated that he did not know how to answer the question, that he would not talk about what occurred until he knew what she said to police.

He was booked at the Marion County Jail where bond was set at $50,000.
