Man arrested after failing to slow down for emergency vehicle

Milgen Aguilar-LopezA man with an expired driver’s license was arrested after failing to slow down for an emergency vehicle Saturday on U.S. 301 in Wildwood.

Milgen M. Aguilar-Lopez, 42, of Leesburg, had been at the wheel of a Chevy Tahoe, when he failed to slow down for an emergency vehicle on the side of the road with its overhead lights activated, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. During the traffic stop, the officer discovered that Aguilar-Lopez’s driver’s license had expired 83 months ago.

He was arrested on a charge of driving with an expired license.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $500.
