A 32-year-old Wildwood man and a companion were arrested after he allegedly stole an air condition unit from  a woman’s home in Lady Lake.

Jeremy T. Trickey went uninvited to the home of a woman at about 2 a.m. Saturday on McClendon Street. They argued outside and she went back inside the residence. She then heard noise coming from the bedroom and saw Trickey removing her window air conditioning unit.

A vehicle driven by Michael R. Garza, 28, of Wildwood, was pulled over and Trickey bolted from the vehicle and fled on foot. Garza advised law enforcement that he had a capped syringe in his shirt pocket and a knife on his belt. He was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended.

Both men were booked at the Lake County Jail.

Garza had been arrested earlier this year after a traffic stop on U.S. 301.
