Man arrested after altercation triggered by road rage incident in Alhambra

A man was arrested after an altercation triggered by a road rage incident Thursday in the Village of Alhambra.

Carlton Wayne Firoved, 53, of 1716 Picasso Place, was arrested on a charge of battery on a person over the age of 65 after the incident shortly after noon at the Alhambra Postal Station.

Firoved and the other individual had gotten into a verbal altercation over Firoved’s driving behavior within a residential area, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim claimed to have been hit in the head by a car door. Firoved admitted to pushing the victim’s car door at the victim.

Firoved was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $2,000.
