Leesburg Police to host safety and security seminar for churches

The Leesburg Police Department is hosting a church safety and security seminar Monday, June 18.

The department is inviting worship leaders, members of safety and security teams and administrators of local places of worship to attend the seminar, which will focus on planning and preparing for individual and organizational safety, as well as proactively addressing aggressive or armed intruders.

The seminar will be held at the Leesburg Police Department Training Auditorium, 115 E. Magnolia Street in Leesburg. Seating is limited to no more than four representatives from each congregation. Call (352) 728-9859 for additional information.
