Leesburg Police encourage area residents to donate blood during Wednesday event

Leesburg Police officers will be joining forces with other first responders in the Central Florida area this week by rolling up their sleeves to donate blood.

Area residents also are encouraged to come out on Wednesday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to donate blood at the Leesburg Police Department. Those attending will find OneBlood’s Big Red Bus parked in front of the department.

All donors will receive a wellness checkup that includes a blood pressure check, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening. And those giving blood also will receive a special edition first-responder T-shirt.
