Law enforcement chases down four teens after break-in at Target at Rolling Acres Plaza

Four teens were chased down early Sunday morning after they allegedly stole Playstation consoles, watches and a TV from Target at Rolling Acres Plaza.

Lady Lake police responded to the store at 3:35 a.m. to a report of four men all dressed in black who had broken into the store and were reportedly stealing merchandise from the store. The suspects were being monitored on cameras by the store’s loss prevention team when police were contacted. It was quickly determined the men were traveling in a silver Toyota Camry stolen out of Orange County.

When the Lady Lake squad car spotted the Camry, the driver took off down Avenida Central and on to Fruitland Park and then Leesburg. In Leesburg at Picciola Road, law enforcement deployed stop sticks to stop the runaway vehicle. The men then fled the vehicle on foot but were later apprehended with the help of a K-9 unit from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Taken into custody were:

• Jamal Nelson, 17, of Orlando.

• Khyree R. Mack, 16, of Orlando.

• Gabriel Longley, 18, of Orlando.

• Cameo J. Dixon, 16, of Orland

All are facing a host of charges including burglary, grand theft, fleeing and eluding, and grand theft of a vehicle.

All were booked at the Lake County Jail.

Authorities are investigating if these suspects are responsible for similar burglaries of Target stores in Central Florida.
