Lake County Sheriff Grinnell taking part in D.C. ceremony to honor fallen officers

Lake County Sheriff Grinnell

Lake County Sheriff Peyton Grinnell traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Grinnell is joining with law enforcement officers from across the country to honor and remember those made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the family members, friends and fellow officers they left behind.

This year, the names of 360 officers killed in the line of duty are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in our nation’s capital.

Earlier this month, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office held its own law enforcement memorial to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
