Lady Lake to offer lighted pickleball courts

The Town of Lady Lake took another step this week toward offering lighted pickleball courts.

Parks and Recreation Director Mike Burske on Monday won approval from the Lady Lake Commission to advertise for requests for proposals to renovate existing basketball, tennis and racquetball courts at the town’s Guava Street facility. The project includes resurfacing, new fencing and conversion of a tennis court to two formal pickleball courts.

Burske said these will be the first lighted pickleball courts in the area.

“As the courts are public, they may be used by anyone wishing to play,” he added.
