Lady Lake man claims he collected child porn to protect his 13-year-old niece

Sergio Guerrero

A Lady Lake man who claimed he collected child pornography to protect his 13-year-old niece has been arrested on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

Sergio Guerrero, 41, of 37402 Hobby Way, came to the attention of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after a tip was received. His Comcast account was traced, linking him to explicit pornographic images of young girls.

Guerrero admitted he set up fake Facebook accounts “in order to send and receive images and videos of child pornography,” according to an arrest report from FDLE. Some of the girls were as young as four years of age.

He claimed he collected the images to ensure no images of his niece were “in circulation.”

He was booked Tuesday at the Lake County Jail on $100,000 bond.
